Why these two?  Honest reason is that I had the Highliner shells and wanted to do an ACL model on them...the Highliners make great models of early F units, allowing one to fiddle the side panels, fans, etc. fairly easily but very accurately.  But I am fascinated with the Atlantic Coast Line main line thru eastern NC, and the doggy breakfast EMD power consists they ran at that time - strings of Geeps and F units, all invariably dirty and grubby.  Big long trains moving fast too...from Petersburg Va to Florence SC it was solid double track and called the "Speedway."  To this day one does not chase trains on the ACL... :-)
