The Southeastern Model Railroaders
Forum third annual meeting was hosted by Bill Cox of the Trains Unlimited Hobby Shop in
Lynchburg, Virginia on September 15-17. The "fest," as we SMRF'ers like to call
it, was very well-organized, informative and fun. Thanks to a variety of hobby
publishers, manufacturers and distributors (see below), every
registered attendee went home with a door prize this year! In addition to door prizes,
attendees went home with new knowledge from clinics--on painting,
stripping paint, decaling, researching prototypes to lobby manufacturers for their
favorite model, and building transfer cabs or GP-40's--and inspiration from the many super
layouts in the tours, and the southeastern railroad models on
display or even for sale!
