Hotel Sign (photo by Craig Zeni)The Southeastern Model Railroaders Forum third annual meeting was hosted by Bill Cox of the Trains Unlimited Hobby Shop in Lynchburg, Virginia on September 15-17. The "fest," as we SMRF'ers like to call it, was very well-organized, informative and fun.  Thanks to a variety of hobby publishers, manufacturers and distributors (see below), every registered attendee went home with a door prize this year! In addition to door prizes, attendees went home with new knowledge from clinics--on painting, stripping paint, decaling, researching prototypes to lobby manufacturers for their favorite model, and building transfer cabs or GP-40's--and inspiration from the many super layouts in the tours, and the southeastern railroad models on display or even for sale!
