SMRF 2000 Clinics:

 

All Clinics will be during the Model Show Saturday September 16th in the designated Clinic Room at the Ramada Inn.  All Clinics will be approximately 45 minutes in length.

10:00am        George Riley:  "Research Techniques for Model Locomotives and Rolling Stock"

11:00am        Replacement: Kevin Goodman: "Sand Blasting -- The Other Paint Stripper" Due to cancellation by: Jim Six:  "The Magazine Models"

12:00 noon    Lunch Break

1:00pm          Bill Mosteller: "What I've Learned about the Model RR Decal Business"

2:00pm          Larry Puckett:  "Modeling Southern Railway Transfer Cabooses"

3:00pm          Bob Harpe: "Building And Detailing An SCL GP-40"

 


 

SMRF 2000 Layout Tours:

 

Area layouts will be open Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:00pm -9:00pm.  One will also be open Sunday morning from 10:00am - 12:00noon.  Maps and detailed descriptions will be given to SMRF members as they arrive at the Ramada Inn.  For those who want help in finding your way, or need rides to the layouts, we will have car pools from the Ramada each evening.

 Friday evening,  September 15th

 Mark Day: Norfolk & Western,  Bedford Division,  N scale, N&W in this part of Virginia, 1960's & 70's

 Jeff Thaxton: Union Pacific, Blue Mountain Division,  HO scale, UP in Oregon, early 1990's

  Jean Raas: Lynchburg O Scale Club,  O scale (that's two rail DC), if you bring it, Jean will run it.

 

Saturday evening, September 16th

 Chris Wiley: Chesapeake & Ohio Railway's James River Subdivision,  N Scale, C&O late 1950's - early  1960's

 Steve Blanchard: Virginia Piedmont & Northwestern,  HO scale, freelance RR in this part of Virginia, late 50's early 60's

 Roy Evans: Hamilton Bayview & Western,  HO scale CP Rail - Canadian National, 1950's to present

 Sunday Morning, September 17th

 Bill Cox: Charlottesville, Riverton & Hagerstown,  HO scale Southern Railway - Norfolk & Western - Western Maryland, 1956  (Last showing, will be torn down after SMRF 2000)

                  And

 Bill Cox: Charlottesville, Monroe & Lynchburg,  HO scale Southern Railway, 1956  (the new RR, bigger and hopefully better)
